The high pressure stability of the guttabeta® star dimpled membranes can be attributed to the special star-shaped geometry of the studs. This design raises the value of the membrane to more than 50% above that of comparable traditional dimpled membranes. The ridges reinforce the studs and are excellent at diverting pressures. This means that the HDPE material achieves a particularly high mechanical resilience. The well-established physical and chemical properties of HDPE are unaffected by this.
In a vertical installation, the high pressure resistance of the guttabeta® star dimpled membranes makes it possible for them to absorb the ground pressure on the insulation at a much better rate. The load-bearing capacity and resilience of the studs increase in a horizontal installation.

guttabeta® drain is a special dimpled membrane with laminated filter fleece for the highest performance. The filter fleece, made of tear-proof and decay-resistant polypropylene, prevents the dimpled structure from being filled with slurry. At the same time the membrane’s drainage channels always stay clear. This results in an efficient dewatering process and a continuously clear air chamber that permits more seepage water to drain than regular dimpled membranes.

This dimpled membrane was developed specifically for the sealing of masonry with permanently elastic thick coatings. guttabeta® drain plus consists of three functional layers that are connected to a compact laying unit.
